Kodiak 10-10-22 update throttles

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the replies - I am controlling elevator trim with an encoder wheel on my HOTAS Throttle. It does work as default, but for some reason I couldn't move it with the Kodiak cold and dark (may be correct, it may need battery power to work) I also have a potentiometer based trim quadrant, which generally is no good in MSFS, unless the pot is also motor-driven, because you cannot sync the axis as soon as the autopilot is engaged, so I'm looking at upgrading to a better trim wheel.

I haven't tried "repeat-fast-adaptive" on the trim hat on my HOTAS Stick though - will definitely try that.

If anyone is still following this thread - SWS released an update on Sun (16th Oct) - I haven't seen any documentation, but the Throttle axis can now be controlled normally.

Which is how? This plane is becoming a headache.

It's very easy. Use AXIS_THROTTLE1_SET with AAO, or, if you are not up to it...use the default MSFS axis.

Anyone figure out how to set the Rudder trim via AAO for the Kodiak? Mapping to RUDDER_TRIM_LEFT and -RIGHT do not work.

SWS seem to be using this:
n (>K:RUDDER_TRIM_SET_EX1)

Not sure about the range for n though. Could be -16383 to 16383, could be 0 to 100, could be -100 to 100.

Lorby,

Have you figured out if there is a variable attached to the emergency power lever? It is working now, but when I read simulator K/B vars in AAO, it reads nothing that is controllable.

That is entirely possible. Most variable names are constructed at runtime, they cannot be read "offline" like AAO tries to do it. You would have to build the variable name manually, by replacing the #..# tags with the correct values.

The MSFS developer mode is better suited for finding stuff (Dev Mode -> Windows -> Behaviors)

Or take a look into the behavior XML file(s) of the aircraft with a text editor.
