4. I forever have flown big iron. With this sim, I plan on a RTW flight with a GA starting at my homebase here in Florida. I've read that the Milviz C310 and the FSW C414 are top notch. Are there any others out there that I should consider? I want glass and not steam for gauges. I plan on just picking one and spending about 2 or 3 months seeing the world with it.

Don't forget that there are some great freeware enhancements out there for some of the standard aircraft:

1. The Cessna 208B Grand Caravan EX Improvement Mod is a creditable alternative to the Kodiak: https://flightsim.to/file/16350/cessna-208b-grand-caravan-ex-improvement-mod

2. Both the G36 and C152 mods are also well worth checking out, nothing to lose!!!

G36: https://flightsim.to/file/21221/bonanza-g36-improvement-project

C152: https://flightsim.to/file/2246/msfs-c152-community

3. If you want something really old school then I can recommend Ant's Tiger Moth - great fun especially if you don't use the (optional) GPS tablet.

Cheers!

As a resident of Scunthorpe, I'd prefer it if you used the term 'umble 'ovel.

Does anyone think the SWS Kodiak 100 worth the buy or the Carenado PC-12?

I have both and the Kodiak is far and away the better product.

I bought my MSFS from the MS Store.

In my installation directory -

C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache

(in my case) - there is a file called

UserCfg.opt

, the last line of which reads (in my case)

InstalledPackagesPath "F:\FS2020\Packages"

My main installation is on my C:\  drive, the Community and Official folders (most of the sim, by file size take up) are on F:\ You can move these files as long as you change that line in User.CFG.opt

I started this and when I went to load MSFS it said I needed to install the latest update again and began downloading. Not being especially computer savvy I stopped the download and changed the path back to C. It then loaded normally without the update prompt. What did I do wrong?

You a) move the files b) change the InstalledPath line c)run MSFS. Ought to work.

Just to add: I can't recall what updates or other unstoppable stuff happened when I moved my community files ages ago. It all did end up where intended.

Thank you for the feedback. I have just been perusing the websites of all the aforementioned aircraft and I am heavily leaning on the Kodiak.

Another option has come along... the Black Square analog gauge update for the default 350i King Air.

Coupled with the TDS GTN 750, this makes for a really nice and functional airplane... (and fast too..)
