I just updated my 1070ti for a 4070ti super and my mobo (Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5), although not the same as yours, is considerably older ... everything works fine as PCI-E standards are backwards compatible. I wouldn't worry too much that MSI do not list the 4070 super as being 'supported', they're never going to back to all their old boards and update the supported spec for new hardware releases, the important thing is the backwards compatibility for PCI-E. The one thing I would just check is that your PSU is adequate ... do a search and you'll find a bunch of online calculators for this.

As I now have Steam on multiple drives this "userdata" folder is not on the same drive as my MSFS2024 installation ... so you may have to hunt around a little if you also have Steam on multiple drives. Anyway, you will find folders for controller setups, logbook, etc under this numerical folder. I believe "2537590" is the steam App ID for MSFS2024 ... you can find same config folders for MSFS2020 under "1250410". Save these folders as a backup in case your settings get corrupted. Cheers!"

Yes, there are a whole bunch of files for both 2020 and 2024 that are well worth backing up somewhere safe!

Yes, the 2024 weather/clouds are much improved which is great to see. It's such a shame that the weather bubbles are still an issue ... I recently took a morning outing over a thick Los Angeles marine layer (a few hundred feet AGL to around 2500) and LAX was a perfect LAX-sized clear hole in a sea of white. DAD - it will be under "…/Steam/userdata/" - but if you have multiple drives with Steam apps this may not be the same as your MSFS2024 drive. Suggest searching all your drives for this userdata folder and you should find "2537590" there.

For MSFS2024 search for folder name "2537590" ... if using Steam it will be under your main Steam folder (not necessarily the same as your MSFS2024 install location). Controller profiles, logbook, etc are stored here. For MSFS2020 the folder name is "1250410".

Hey Lorby Was an avid WAMA user for FSX and P3D ... I had absolutely no idea that you had created a prototype for MSFS. Only found it about an hour ago as I was thinking how much I wanted WAMA in MSFS ... had not heard a dickybird about your work on it. I'm convinced that the lack of interest you mention in previous posts must have something to do with total lack of visibility. I know that Just Flight and SimMarket push out product notifications to purchasers ... maybe you could ask them to push out a notice to all owners of WAMA previous versions that a prototype for MSFS is available and maybe also point them to this Avsim forum for feedback?
