October 15, 20223 yr I pick up, here, the rest of my flight, from the vicinity of Mt. Shasta (see the first 3 shots, below)....then, onward, in a Hughes Airwest Fairchild F-27, to KLMT (Crater Lake–Klamath Regional Airport). Past Mt Shasta, all the way to touchdown in KLMT (ILS RWY 32), see landing shots, my en route pictures are taken also with the same type of Fairchild F-27 a/c, but in the color of Hughes Airwest, sporting the distinctive all-yellow scheme, for the company whose slogan was (fittingly) "Top Banana in the West". Hughes Airwest had operated 34 Fairchild F-27 turboprops till 1980, concurrently with B727 and DC9 jets. Hope you enjoy this collection of pictures of this classic turboprop in the livery of this (yet another) classic airline of the U.S. West Coast...! Thanks for viewing...!!
