That is P3D 5.3 HF2 with the QualityWings 787  The photo was taken from my phone b/c until I saw this thread I wasn't sure what I was seeing LOL  100% serious, I kid you not and no sarcasm.

misunderstanding

i thought you were saying that P3D had all those features i brought up, like planets and so on. which i do not believe it has or had.

i assumed the screenshot was from X-plane (often referred to as ‘the other sim’)

Three things to note about the P3D image above....

  • It is way too dark with half of the solar disc above the horizon
  • Stars are still visible!!
  • The Moon's disc can be seen close to the Sun, which is not realistic. The Moon should be invisible until it starts to move in front of the Sun, and even then you should only be able to see the part that is obscuring the solar disc.

Oh, and that’s another flaw in MSFS as well by the way. One can see stars even at daylight.
