October 25, 20223 yr Don’t know where I was but it was before noon PDT and when I saw it I knew exactly what it was, a partial eclipse, but did not know why. Then I saw on the news later that there was a partial eclipse that occurred today. Pretty cool Anyone else? -B Edited October 25, 20223 yr by btacon
October 25, 20223 yr Wow! I saw that yesterday as well - in a virtual flight over the UK. I thought it was a glitch and didn't think to check!

I don't think I should have been able to see it from there IRL, but it was cool nonetheless. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440

October 26, 20223 yr Pretty cool. They do need to fix the upside down moon relative to the horizon when viewing from the Southern Hemisphere though.
October 26, 20223 yr Partial eclipses have been in the Sim since launch, unfortunately Total Eclipses are not possible (and neither is the darkening effect). October 26, 20223 yr Sometimes I have to pinch myself that we're this lucky. To have a AAA sim platform that has things like this and is still being updated every month...with free planes like the IniBuilds A310 no less, is truly remarkable. Especially if you compare where flight simulation was a little over 3 years ago. Edited October 26, 20223 yr by Bdub22
October 26, 20223 yr The total solar eclipse in 1991 July 11 was nowhere near Russia, so I am not sure what that second video title is all about. Given the sun was below the horizon there when the eclipse occurred then no, you shouldn’t. 29% of the sun was eclipsed at 09:50 Zulu here in England and an hour later it was all over. October 26, 20223 yr If you pause the 1st video at 15 seconds, that's what the sun looked like as it rose departing Denver. The left side was missing a piece. I had to search the web to find out there really was an eclipse today and then I realized I should not have seen it from my location. i9-10850K, ASUS TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS (WI-FI), 32GB G.SKILL DDR4-3603 / PC4-28800, GIGABYTE RTX5080 16GB WF OC 3 FAN running 3440x1440
