I am not sure I understand: For ActiveRuntime change its value to the one that matches your platform (NOTE: default path is C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\oculus_openxr_64.json) What does it mean when it says matches platform? Have you installed the oculus pc software as well and connected that via link cable ? On mine it automatically selected the path listed above and installed it in openxr. Goto to utube and search quite a few setup videos show how to set up. ( I am away from pc at the moment ) 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11

( I am away from pc at the moment ) I have the Oculus PC App on my computer running and I am connected to the link cable. However, when connecting the cable via link in the app, it just spins and doesn't recognize the headset... Is there a step by step tutorial anywhere that I can follow? I am sure it is user error that is causing it not to work and I bet i missed a step Edited November 7, 20223 yr by Zimmerbz Intel Core i7 12700K (5.0GHz Max Boost Clock) 12-Core CPU 32GB G.Skill Performance DDR4 SDRAM 3600MHz Graphics Processor:12GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GDDR6x System 2TB Western Digital, NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
November 8, 20223 yr Have you you connected your link cable within the app first on the pc ( not in the headset) . There is a connection setting in devices within the oculus app. You then test the link cable in the app for speed. If you have not done that first it won’t work. You then connect in the headset. I occasionally get the spinning circle and normally sorts if I unplug my cable and plug it back in. There are some utube videos try Googling connection oculus quest 2 to pc via link. Sorry away from pc at the moment so this is all from memory 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
November 8, 20223 yr Checked tonight Open up OPEN XR Tools for windows Click on the OPENXR Runtime Tab and on the first line Run time manifest it should say C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-runtime\oculus_openxr_64.json) Next line "runtime name" "oculus" If it is not shown like this you need to change a registry setting - some other posts tell you how to do this and some utube videos , i did not need to do it it was set as above On The "mixed Reality Tab" it should say "The windows Mixed reality openXR Runtime is installed but is not the active runtime " THAT IS CORRECT Open Up Your oculus app, click devices. It should show connected , if not run through the connection process , and should all work. Hope this helps 3080rtx on a i7 12700k with 32 Gig ddr5. 2gig Ssd Quest 2 Windows 11
November 9, 20223 yr When you say 'link' cable do you refer to the expensive one that you need to purchase separately or the cable that was shipped with the quest2? If it's the latter, than that is only meant for charging I believe. Antoine v Heck --- Ryzen 5800X3D, 32Gb DDR4 RAM@1600 Mhz, RTX3090 (24GB VRAM). 2TB SSD - VR with Quest 2 via link cable

November 10, 20223 yr What's no clear to me is if the OP sees the Oculus Home dashboard when connecting via the link cable or is stuck in the Meta Quest dashboard looking at a spinning wheel to connect to the PC when clicking on 'link' In other words, is this an issue connecting tot the PC or is it just an issue getting MSFS to recognize the headset?
