POV hat button problems with DC-3 and DHC-2

Featured Replies

I'm having problems when changing views using the POV hat button on a Saitek X52 Pro.

DC-3: Button to the left - view goes to the left. Button to the right - view again goes left, and slightly aft, about the 8 o' clock bearing

DHC-2 Beaver (both versions): Button to the left - view goes slightly forward, and left towards about the 10 o'clock bearing.  Button to the right - the view goes round and looks aft down the cabin.

Other aircraft seem normal (those that I have tried, anyway).

I know of one person who's having the same issue with the DC-3. Anyone here experiencing it ?

/I recommend trying out one of the free Android or Apple head tracking apps which can run on your phone or tablet.   Definitely expands the experience.  I use TrackIR and it offers 6 degrees for freedom.      Yaw, pitch,  roll,  X axis,  and Z axis.     It's very cool to look under a dash,  or behind your seat,   or turn and look over the side of an open cockpit.

Thanks -  unfortunately, that camera fix has no effect at all. I do have Track IR, but would like to get the hat switch problem sorted if I can.

Have the exact same issue with my ThrustMaster.

9950X3D, PNY 5090, 64GB DDR5 6000, MSI X870-P, GIGABYTE AORUS Gen5 2TB NVMe, 3440x1440 AW3423DW gsync ultimate.

I have this issue.  I cannot believe they still cannot get the camera views right on the default aircraft.  Normally I have to download archers better cameras from fs.to.

I am sure archer will have some up soon.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Thanks for the replies, guys. It's about time I learned how to put in a support ticket to Asobo anyway. 😉

I wholeheartedly agree.

I also don't understand why they use different initial zoom levels between aircraft or sometimes even within the same aircraft. The default setting appears to be 0.35, so why not just stick with that? Instead we get situations where simply looking left or switching to copilot view results in a very different picture. Sure we can change the camera.ini files but unfortunately this has to be redone after every update.

Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?
