Engines continue to spin after Shutdown

Featured Replies

After mixture is cut during shutdown the props continue to spin continuously even though the plane is cold and dark. Has anyone experienced this or knows how to fix it?

Prop windmilling?  Have you tried feathering the props?

Hello, same here. After shutdown the Prop is still running.

Is it real? Because the resistance of the piston engine should actually prevent turning or?

Kind regards

Same "problem" here. Feathering the props will stop them !

I can't duplicate that problem. As soon as I pull the mixture levers all the way back the props stop in just a couple of seconds. Same thing happens if I just turn off the mags. I'm using version 3.4.4 of the C414 downloaded from the Flysimware store.
