November 18, 20223 yr I am a little confused on how to select weather for a flight. When I click on Flight Conditions, the left side of the page has Weather & Time at the bottom but then the right side of the page in the upper right there is a button Live and then further down again clickable areas for Live Weather, Clear Skies, etc. In addition to the above, when in the cockpit there appears to be a way for selecting weather. Please let me know what is the simplest way to select Live Weather and secondarily other weather options. Thanks. zachlog
November 18, 20223 yr Any clickable area labeled "LIVE Weather" will inject it when launching your sim. The Live Weather option from the Main Menu dropdown (CLOUD icon) can also be used. Whatever area you choose is up to you. The only other alternate options are from REX Weather Force (third party payware) for Live, presets or historical weather. Quote

As for the difference between "live" and "live weather" - the latter will create the weather at the live real time, the former will set the in-game time to the live real time. They are not connected in any way, you can do one without the other. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

On the same page in the upper right there is a box named FLIGHT CONDITIONS. When I click on it, the resulting page on the lower left has WEATHER AND TIME but the LIVE box is not clickable while the PRESET and CUSTOM clickable boxes next to it are clickable thus my problem. Also as a FYI, when in the cockpit and i click on the Weather menu, in the resulting weather options there is a dropdown titled WEATHER. When I click on the dropdown and select "Live Weather", it does not stay on that option and it goes to "Clear Skies". I just went to KBUF where I know the weather is cloudy and they had lots of snow but in my flight it shows clear skies, and I think somehow I am stuck on the "Clear Skies" weather. I would appreciate some further guidance. zachlog
November 18, 20223 yr It sounds like to me you have NOT activated LIVE WEATHER ON in the General Options >>> DATA page. Go to General Options > Data and turn on LIVE WEATHER. Quote

This one is not on my list. I guess the default is off. I thank you very much. zachlog

Changed it in the Data section as stated above and bingo. I was flying in North Dakota and it went from a few scattered snow places to fully covered. Best to check all your settings. Some of mine, this one included, got changed. Roy i7-10700 CPU @2.90 GHz, 32 GB Ram, nVadia GTX1660ti, Samsung 1 TB SSD Drive
