December 15, 20223 yr Currently flying XPlane 12 and occasionally MSFS. I got blurry ground textures in XP12 the other night after a long flight and I suspect I was running out of Vram. I have a Nvida Geforce RTX 2060 with 6gb of Vram, an Intel Core I9-10900K and 32gb of memory. I am considering upgrading to a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060 that has 12gb of Vram. I would welcome any comments on this upgrade, specifically if it is worth it and would it cure the blurries with the extra memory. Many thanks in advance of any replies.
December 30, 20223 yr I just got a7900XT. Performance for me is excellent. P3dV5, MSFS, XP11&12. CPU is I9-9900K, 32gigs ram etc. Monitor is a Dell Ultrasharp 34" 3440x1440. Actually had an XTX been available that I would have got but now after several days of flight simming I am pleased the way the XT has worked out. Also it was less money that the XTX and considerably cheaper than a 4080 or 4090. I came from a 2080 8 gig.

I wish more people had answered your question. I'm considering the exact same more for exactly the same reasons! Rich Boll Richard Boll Wichita, KS
January 20, 20233 yr I'd suggest running a utility to show you memory usage while flying to see if it is actually a VRAM issue. If it is, then yes, more VRAM will help you. If you find out you are not maxing out your VRAM then you may need to look into other possibilities.
