December 15, 20223 yr Can anyone point me to an idiots guide for the Honeycomb configurator v2.1. I have had the Honeycomb Alpha yoke for some time but never used a configurator relying on default settings and what I could set through FSUIPC. Now I recently acquired the Honeycomb Bravo throttle to go with the yoke. Getting the yoke and throttle set up in MSFS2020 was very straight forward. All the buttons and LEDS work as expected for all default and most 3rd party aircraft with only minimal further fiddling about. However this is not the case in P3D4/5. I downloaded the Honeycomb configurator tool for P3D hoping this would solve my problems but it is a nightmare of an app and the Video YT by the developer is very opaque and difficult to follower - a sentiment shared by numerous comments to the YT vid. What I want to able to do is the edit the Honeycomb default bindings on the yoke because they duplicate bindings on the throttle and conflict with my Chaseplane camera controller button settings. Until I sort this out I have deleted the configurator and just set up bindings as best I can through FSUIPC but this leaves me unable to make full use of the throttle and of course the LEDs don't work. One of the difficulties I have is that the configurator controls the yoke and the throttle. If there were two - one for each device - I would just install the one for the throttle as I don't need a configurator for the yoke. Anyhow apologies for this semi-rant but I would be grateful if someone could explain or point me in the right direction on how to edit default bindings on the Honeycomb devices. Thank you. December 15, 20223 yr Hi, a comfortable solution could be the use of a program called "spadnext" for use in both of the simulaion platforms. Volker
December 15, 20223 yr Hi, Aerosoft have support forums for the configurator Quote if you need further assistance, please check out the following videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHMP5Kj3ebA&list=PL-CM2J7huv9GsJLInEaXS71CKKU_5g3Sl And some ready made profiles herehttps://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/category/126-honeycomb-profiles/ Support forumhttps://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/245-general-hardware-no-specific-or-mixed-simulatoraddon/ Once you get it, you really don't need extra software... December 15, 20223 yr Commercial Member There are a couple of user contributed lua scripts for controlling the Bravo LEDs with FSUIPC. These were written for use with MSFS/FSUIPC7, but as they use offsets they should also work with P3D. Unless a used offset isn't available with P3D/FSUIPC5/6, but these should be standard offsets and the same in both FSs. See https://forum.simflight.com/topic/92685-control-bravo-leds-based-on-offset-changes/ https://forum.simflight.com/topic/91539-lua-scripts-for-honeycomb-bravo-leds/ I am not sure what your throttle issue is, but if you need assistance setting that up with FSUIPC, please use the support forum: For FSUIPC4/5/6: https://forum.simflight.com/forum/30-fsuipc-support-pete-dowson-modules/ For FSUIPC7: https://forum.simflight.com/forum/183-fsuipc7-msfs/ John
December 16, 20223 yr Author Apologies I didn't know this forum existed. The issue is not with the throttle but with the yoke. I want to disable the honeycomb default bindings on buttons 2 and 3. Don't want to spend too much time on this as I only use P3D for the RealAir Turbine Duke otherwise MSFS2020 where everything works just fine.
