FYI, Best Buy just dropped  both the 4090 and 4080 Founders Edition today. The 4090's sold out but the 4080's are still in stock for those still looking for one. I was able to grab a 4090.

Managed to get a Gigabyte 4090 this morning from the Microcenter in Parkville,  MD.   They had 5 when the store opened,  I arrived an hour before opening and was first in line.   

Now I just need CableMod to start shipping their 90 degree or 180 degree 12vhpwr adapter,   so I can put the glass side cover back on my  Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL.   😁

Really don't want to buy a new case and spend time swapping it all.   I'd have to bend it severely to put the side back on ,  and I don't want to risk fire damage.   

 

I noticed that 4090's @ BB where dropping several times over the last few days. I'm surprised that the 4080 are actually showing in stock for the last two days. I guess there not that popular due to price point and what you get.

For me I want the 4080 because I can use Frame Generation, but don't need to buy a new case to install one.  As opposed to the 4090

I just installed the 4090 in my current system and the Frame Generation is no joke. I'm getting outstanding performance with it ON with TAA. What I'm seeing makes the purchase worth it too me. This is like a whole new sim. Can't wait to see what I get with a 13900 or 14900 (when it comes) as my 10900K is doing a great job.

I'm getting a similar massive performance jump too with FG @ 4K Ultra on my setup too, even with just a 4080.

I have an MSI Suprim X 4090 incoming from Best Buy Canada. I guess the drop is in the new year because they're accepting pre-orders for shipment by Jan 9.
