How to depart from a different rwy

Featured Replies

Bought and installed the premium deluxe edition on Christmas eve, and trying to use the default flight planner to plot an IFR route.  Specified a runway for departure and when ATC directs me to depart from a different runway, I can't change the runway in the B787-10's FMS.

Can someone enlighten me on how to change the runway in FMS please?

It's a problem.  You can land and take off from any runway you want, but ATC won't give you cleanance.  It would be nice if ATC would give you options to use different runways.  Very useful when you are practising crosswind landings or want to do sidestep approaches.

If you use PF3 for ATC, you can chose your runways for takeoff and departure.

You don't have to use atc.

I think what the OP is really asking is how to change the takeoff runway in the FMS, not how to ignore ATC or change its mind.
