I so far used P3D v5.2. Now updated to v5.3. But I find black textures for the add on aircraft except PMDG and Majestic. It shows black textures for flight deck, exterior, buildings and taxiways. P3v v5.3 is almost unusable except PMDG and Majestic. I also updated Nvidia driver to the latest. Any help?

Have you cleared the shader cache since updating the driver?

@haseen, what graphics card do you have? It’s possible VRAM is exhausted.

Hi Haseen. That card has only 8Gb VRAM. If you have EA enabled try turning it off and see if that helps.

I turned off EA. But black textures are persisting. I could run P3D v5.2. So, I hope p3d v5.3 will also run.

Someone in facebook P3D v5 group told me to do a complete reinstall. Will that help?

I see them at some third party airports with 11Gb VRAM. Does it happen at all airports or just third party ones?

A reinstall may help but before that try lowering your settings that rely on the graphics side of things.

Also try the latest Nvidia drivers unless you’re already using them.

I don't use any 3rd party scenery. I updated nvidia driver, cleared shaders. No help. But I don't understand why PMDG and Majestic are working fine!

Some ideas:

Have you tried to reinstall one of the planes which is black? Does it work after this?

Are the missing textures there in the planes directory?

Maybe Windows changed the rights of the files. How do the properties look? Right click on the aircrafts directory which doesn't work. Check security tab? What's the difference to the pmdg plane directory?

Not only the aircraft are black. Also terminal building and taxiways. When loaded default airplanes or PMDG or Majestic, aircraft, buildings, taxiways are ok!

What third party aircraft show these problems? Dan asked if you have reinstalled one of the aircraft that has the problem. Have you done that?

1. The third party airplane are:

Captain Sim 767, Aerosoft A330, Just flight BAe146, A2A sim Cessna 182, Flightsim Labs A320, A319, A321.

Only PMDG and Majestic Dash 8-400 load okay.

2. As I use GPU Nvidia Geforce GTX1080 (8 gb), which graphics settings should I use? I already set them to medium, AA x2, resolution medium x1024, scenery complexity medium, HDR off, EA off. With these settings, P3D v5.2 was quite okay. But causing problem for P3D v5.3.

3. On the other hand, just for information, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is running well in my system! Please suggest.

@haseen, I’m asking you to do things but you’re not doing them. Uninstall one of the aircraft you listed where textures are black.

Then reinstall it and report back. If the problem is fixed repeat for the remaining aircraft.

The buildings can have other reason than the planes but of course also the same reason is possible. Reinstalling the scenery, the plane or the even the whole sim may cure it the fastest.
