Inibuilds EGLL, AIG and the CS 777

Featured Replies

Getting back into the sim again after a new build and a period of dissatisfaction with SU9/10. Had been getting my new system set up from scratch, and discovered that my previous AIG setup didn't seem to want to work when copied across from my old system. So after a day or two messing around I did a clean uninstall/reinstall and reloaded everything (all the flightplans) and thought I'd try it all out at the new (v3) EGLL and see how the new PC dealt with it.

And the answer is - very nicely, thank you. Lots of traffic, both parked and arriving/departing, the airport is great, and I'm getting anything between 30 - 50 fps without hardly any stutteriing now. Also installed the FSLTL package, and that is also great and I guess I'll play around with both over the coming weeks. Lovely stuff, both of them, and I'm quite happy to just hang around with the drone cam for ages just watching stuff happen.

Really like the EGLL package as well. I hesitated at first as the MS/Asobo version in the Premium version of the sim is pretty good, but I got the Ini version on offer initially, and the latest version is a peach.

And just to annoy the traditionalists - I'm using the CS 777. Which I really like. Hey, two throttle levers, four throttle levers - don't bother me. Looks good and nice interior. I'm shallow like that <grin>

Anyway, here's a few shots of all this - all 4k, captured from HDR via the X-Box game bar which happily produces both an HDR image and a corresponding SDR image in PNG format. Quick convert to JPG and the end result is usually pretty good. Sometimes the brightness levels in the original can overwhelm the conversion process but mostly they're ok.

So huge thanks to all the guys at AIG, and off we go!

For me, this EGLL is realistic enough, i.e. busy interiors with crowded terminals, that it reminds me how much I don't ever want to set foot in an airport terminal again. Love it in the sim, but wild horses couldn't drag me back to Heathrow (or any of the biggies) ever again. Done more than enough time hanging around clutching my cattle class ticket in one hand and a heavy case in the other (and latterly probably my shoes under my arm)

Enjoy!

Nice shots. Enjoying all your commentary as well.  🙂

Very nice Andy!  These have now placed Heathrow at the top of my buy next list.  I liked you comments about airports, I feel the same, I doubt I'll ever fly again, too many hassles.

Excellent shots! 🙂

Very nice shots Andy and this is a great Airport now with the 3.0 update.

Have fun with your new System..

Fine shots...and a good update by iniBuilds to add 3D-people inside some of the terminal-buildings and the control tower.

Thanks everybody. Taken a while to get back into all this, but I can feel the urge to sim building up again now so will try and post some more. Finally having some hardware that keeps up with it all has made a big difference.

Great to see you back with your new rig, Andy. And these shots are just awesome. Keep them coming my friend !!
