Are we sure that Concorde will be compatible with P3D v6? The December FSLabs announcement specifically mentions v5?

I cannot envisage them not making it compatible. Given this is certainly the last FSL Concorde for P3D they might even extend support to v7 providing it’s not a huge amount of work.

Given most flights were over open ocean you could get by with a default v5 or more likely v6, ActiveSky and Chaseplane.

I can't help but feel the release for MSFS will be some way off.

Ray, its something I am thinking about, however, I have two issues to consider.

1) I continue to get the DXGI errors and while they are less now, still not fully fixed.

2) I really don't want to buy it twice, once for P3D and then again when it comes out for MSFS.  Maybe FSL will have some sort of program for people who plan to buy both, that will tip the scales but to purchase at full price for both sims is a non starter for me.  I am sure the price in P3D will be in the range of  $100 to $125 USD.

Have you seen my pinned topic I updated yesterday? No problems in 18 flights over 20 days with latest drivers. I’m encouraged. 😁

But you’ll always have the problem in MSFS of one set of weather. Once you locate to an airport a few time zones from your home the weather won’t be what it was in real life. Your departures from LHR will have to be at 05:30 your time. And flights on the other side of the world will have nighttime weather if you fly in your daytime.

That’s why I could never use MSFS for serious IFR flights.

As for weather, funny part is in all the years I flew Concorde on Vatsim, I never once used the historical weather, I just loaded up Activesky for live weather and off I went.  Not 100% correct but was not really a problem.

Shock horror! 😲 I suppose it depends on how much the temp and wind changes. At airports like Channai and others in hot climates it might be the difference between being able to take off and not. Just like the real world.

I guess so.  I only did the RTW trips 4 or 5 times so a very limited number of flights would be significantly impacted.  Most flights were EGLL, KJFK, TBPB so 4 or 5 hours difference probably didn't matter.

I got tired of the same routes so created my own. Looking forward to hops from Vancouver down the west coast to LAX and also to Honolulu. Plus Sydney to Auckland and Christchurch.

The virtual world is my oyster! 😁
