January 22, 20233 yr I have just downloaded a GSX Pro profile for London Luton (EGGW) from flightsim.to. In the description the author states 'I have accurately mapped out passenger pathways from Gate to Aircraft' - which I thought was great as it is an airport I use regularly. I followed this instruction 'This is a simple drag and drop file. Jus drag and drop the gsx file into your C:/User/AppData/Roaming/Virtuali/MSFS folder' So with the file in the folder - I start MSFS2020, place the PMDG 737-800 at a Gate in front of the main terminal and start GSX. I requested boarding - as I wanted to watch the passengers walk the pathway from the terminal to the plane. GSX sends the crew bus followed by the passenger bus. What do I need to do to 'activate' the downloaded profile? Edit: Should also clarify that this profile requires UKScenery2000 Luton airport - which I have installed. January 22, 20233 yr It needs to go into your AppData\Roaming\virtuali\GSX\MSFS. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
January 22, 20233 yr Author Thanks Dave. I should have mentioned that although the 'instruction' as to what folder to place it in was incorrect - I did realise this - and placed it in AppData\Roaming\virtuali\GSX\MSFS. George Westwell
January 22, 20233 yr Yeah I need to learn how to do my own profiles. No disrespect to the creators that provide them now, but when you upload a file that promises or implies that passengers will exit the rear door and walk around the cones on the ground to the terminal entrance, I can't help but laugh and shake my head when they walk out the door and graciously float about 20 feet in the air, over the wing and into the jetway. Immersion breaker confirmed. i9-13900K | 6400MHz DDR5 (32GB) | GeForce RTX 4090 24GB MSFS 2024 | PMDG 777-300ER | FBW A380X | Fenix A320 | ini A350

Is the config file called "eggw-atgovn.ini"? If yes then here's your problem and solution: 1) you probably - like me - installed the EGGW version without static aircraft. This does however create a different .bgl file with a different name, that is not covered by the config file, which was made for the one with static airraft. 2) to make it work nonetheless open the config file and replace the following line with this:afcad_path = eggw_NoStatic.bgl Now it should load the AFCAD. Keep in mind some gates might still not work because they used to have statics (and therefore were not adressed by the config file author). January 22, 20233 yr Author Thanks Fiorentoni 1) Yes, I did download and install the UK scenery EGGW without static aircraft ( as well as the UK2000 common library) 2) Looks like I have downloaded a different EGGW profile as mine is called eggw-zxlgiy.ini which can be found here https://flightsim.to/file/48318/gsx-pro-profile-for-london-luton-eggw 3) I did however try your suggestion about changing the Afcad path in the config file, just in case it would work with the profile I have downloaded. 4) Crew and passengers still arrive by bus - what I did notice is that the appearance of the GSX frame is different - in that the background colour is grey and at the top it say 'Activate services at Gate 'X' Not sure what to try next................................. So anyway in-game click on "customise airport positions" (pr "parking position", someting like that) in the GSX menu. A window will open outside MSFS and look at the top, there should be written "eggw-zxlgiy.ini" as the loaded profile. Also a line above there should be the correct AFCAD/.bgl loaded (that eggw no static file). if both is a yes, then look what settings are set for your parking position below. It's quite possible that the config is just wrong, e.g. for a WALK-IN-gate there has to be a path set by the config creator, otherwise it will default back to the bus (because GSX can't just guess where the pax are supposed to be walking along). You might want to check another config. Also I just saw that it seems like not every gate/stand is yet configured by the config creator as it's a recent release. Did you try it on the gates he especially stated as workable? For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
