Stutters over London

What is the MSFS default for London like (was it part of the world update)? I may get rid of Orbx London. I only fly approaches and departures from LHR so I’m not doing VFR over the city

It's photogrammetry ...  So the City is all true to life with all the landmarks and then when you approach Heathrow 27L or R it changes to autogen starting from Hammersmith area..

I don't know what the added benefit is from the ORBX probably higher resolution buildings which only becomes relevant when helicopter flying i suppose. I don't have that so it's just a guess.

If you have trouble with FPS in London I'd be curious how EDDF behaves. For me. that's probably the weakest performing area in the sim.

Just did an approach into HECA (default) in FBW A320 and had some stutters then too (not at all like EGLL but still unusual for me to get any).

So deleted Orbx London landmarks, reduced some settings (resolution and LODs). Tested it with a short approach and seemed to be much better.

However, I did notice that the scenery was taking ages to be rendered as was staying the weird unrendered shape for a while. I'm on a 70mbps connection so don't see why this should be an issue...? Could this also be contributing? I read something about some server problems Asobos end.

From previous experience and the fact that I am having no major issues over London, I would conclude from what I have read on this thread that the issue you have is wirh the Inibuilds EGLL addon

Does this addon require that you delete the ASOBO EGGL in the cobtent manager?

Photogranmetry,  ORBX Landmarks, Addon EGLL, Addon EGLC and a complex aircraft all running together at 4K is going to overtax even the top end systems.

So I've deleted Orbx landmarks and EGLC addon (as I never fly into it), reduced resolution to the second top setting as well as reducing both LOD (object and terrain). Still seems to take a while to generate the scenery (get the horrible unrendered shapes for a while).
