Reshade and Moving Map

Featured Replies

  1. I've searched a million posts, but, none seem to provide a good answer.  I am sick-and-tired of this over-exaggerated Blue atmosphere that MS has built into this sim. I look out my window or when I've flown in real life and the earth (and atmosphere) is NOT this blue. This is killing my experience, big time!  Can someone please recommend a good Reshader or a way to adjust these colors, before I break this $10,000 PC into ashes? (Please not Nvidia control Pannel)
  2.  Can someone also recommend a good Moving Map (with charts, STARS, etc). It does not has to be anything too advanced

Have you (re-)calibrated your monitor?

Regarding shaders, you can search for the ReShade threads in this sub-forum. Alternatively, use Nvidia Freestyle if you use a Nvidia GPU.

Yes, I have recalibrated my monitor.  MSFS just created this sim with that horrible Blue atmosphere. They should have at least designed it with a buitt-in color  adjuster.

This is strange.  Some people think it has a yellow tinge.

It is all very subjective and sometimes down to the make of monitor.

I don't see the blue tinge that you do, other than the rayleigh scattering effect in the distance that is true to life and done very well.

The fact that it has never been a big problem for most people and not really raised before makes me think it is your individual perception.

Now if you are upset with the green roads, I would understand that!

In any case, some people use reshade with success (mainly to get rid of yellow and give it a colder look), and others have faced problems installing it.

I would just use the Nvidia experience add on and turn down the blue filter to your liking, it works very well and has no performance hit. You can bring the panel up in seconds with a keyboard toggle set.

You can google to find out how to install and use it.  I have used the built in video recorder in the past as that is good and stutter free for me, so the Nvidia experience package has other benefits.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Moving map with Flight Plan I use P2ATC. Enters your flight plan from SimBrief as well your aircraft and moving map is shown from the gate/taxiing/takeoff/final destination to the gate view.

Finalight Reshade downloaded take care of your color problems

AIVLASOFT EFB has just about everything, and has a free 30 day trial. Also you can run the server part on your sim machine, and the EFB on a laptop, optional. https://www.aivlasoft.com/

Moving Map I use Avliasoft EFB-Map-Charts, it has it all.
