AI Traffic & CPU Utilization?

If you you look at the fifth picture in the series of screenshots, your GPU time (now in purple) is registering 71.1msec, which is very long. Take the reciprocal of this and you end up with approx. 14fps, which is somewhere around what the frame rate is - which is also stating that it's limited by the GPU. So I would say that you could be looking at a GPU issue rather than a CPU issue.

hmm, ok so is the 3070 not capable to hold 30 frames I take it once in a while at random times? Then it will be just fine at the same location same spot 15 seconds later

Ok AI is not the issue. Happened with no AI running. Now could over clocking my CPU cause this too? Just trying to brainstorm this issue. I have another 3070 to swap out and test just in case it's an actual GPU issue. I also turned on resize bar but the same issue happens with my current EVGA 3070 RTX

Update..... Set my CPU back to stock settings from the overclock and did a test, had no issues and the major drop of frames did not happen. Will test some more to make sure that was the issue.

I find myself wondering what your CPU temp was when it happened. I wonder if it was thermal throttling.

Temps were fine around 60 to 70C

Does this only happen in MSFS? Does it do it when running other sims or games?

As far as I can tell, I also use American Truck Sim and there are some moments where it does occur to but that really could be a poor coding on SCS software. Going to put it to the test here again in MSFS and see if I can confirm that the issue is finally gone

I saw much the same thing with FSLTL until I made massive compromises in the active traffic settings. I now limit AI aircraft to something like 14. Which sounds low but I also have it inject some statics which and the effect is pretty convincing without hammering my performance.

Same same, and IFR I have set at 14.  Good enough, modest impact only.
