Take the reciprocal of this and you end up with approx. 14fps, which is somewhere around what the frame rate is - which is also stating that it's limited by the GPU. So I would say that you could be looking at a GPU issue rather than a CPU issue. hmm, ok so is the 3070 not capable to hold 30 frames I take it once in a while at random times? Then it will be just fine at the same location same spot 15 seconds later Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
February 7, 20233 yr Author Here is a video showing this drop..then I got outside and towards the end its totally fine..UGH!! Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
February 8, 20233 yr Author Ok AI is not the issue. Happened with no AI running. Now could over clocking my CPU cause this too? Just trying to brainstorm this issue. I have another 3070 to swap out and test just in case it's an actual GPU issue. I also turned on resize bar but the same issue happens with my current EVGA 3070 RTX Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)
February 9, 20233 yr Author Update..... Set my CPU back to stock settings from the overclock and did a test, had no issues and the major drop of frames did not happen. Will test some more to make sure that was the issue. I wonder if it was thermal throttling. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

As far as I can tell, I also use American Truck Sim and there are some moments where it does occur to but that really could be a poor coding on SCS software. Going to put it to the test here again in MSFS and see if I can confirm that the issue is finally gone Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)

I now limit AI aircraft to something like 14. Which sounds low but I also have it inject some statics which and the effect is pretty convincing without hammering my performance. Same same, and IFR I have set at 14. Good enough, modest impact only.
