February 12, 20233 yr Bought this on the sale and love it so far, a few questions for a newbie to radials...saw the one at the Smithsonian museum at Dulles (VERY recommended) and wanted this since. 1) Why is the GPS screen only a portion of the normal size, can I re-size this to the proper size somehow? 2) I seem to keep getting engine fires (or at least white smoke followed by black), even if I don't keep the throttle full nor the RPM levers all the way? What's the best way to fly this beautiful bird without incident? Thanks, Steve
February 12, 20233 yr I was wondering the same thing as far as the size difference in the GPS. I just bought the plane too and I haven't had a smoky or on fire engine yet so I can't help you there. I do fly exclusively in VR and unfortunately this plane has no zoom functions in VR,(hope the developers feels the need to update this in the future). This plane has a lot of potential. LOVE the sounds!! Oh. While we're here I would love to see an option for a more modern panel, a little radio navigation would be great... February 12, 20233 yr Author I think we can fix this by editing the panel.cfg inside the Goose’s folder within the “official” folder....am trying but haven’t found the right variables yet....
February 12, 20233 yr Do you have any GPS mods installed? I had a smaller GPS display than the screen size and discovered I had a GPS mod installed, I removed it and the GPS was displaying as it should.
February 13, 20233 yr Generally speaking keeping manifold pressure "in the green", revs reasonable, leaning for altitude and making sure oil temps are not too hot or too cold, you should rarely have engine issues. Edited February 13, 20233 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
March 14, 20242 yr One of the best vintage planes so far in MSFS. The Goose reminds me of those good old years flying P47D in FSX. Just love that engine sound! DA B760M PRO4 | i5-13400F | RTX 3060 12 GB | G.Skills Ripjaws 32GB | MSI MAG A550BN | Ace Power 1 TB NVMe | Cooler Master Hyper 212
