I use Tobi eye tracker and it is not ideal. It combines pitch and yaw in one scale and does not have the detail of Track IR. Also I find it is not as smooth as I expected and there is some lag. Can anyone please explain how best to use a mouse with a trackball. How do you assign the ball so it can change the view up/down/left/right/forward/back efficiently and smoothly?

When this was first previewed,  it seemed like the best thing since...well, TrackIR really.   Disappointing to see that not many people have taken to it due to shortcomings relative to TIR.  I was really keen on getting rid of more wires.

Yeah, I am sticking to TrackIR for now. Perhaps it is impossible (yet) to avoid lags when using face tracking because of the greater amount of processing involved.
The missing pause function is another issue. I don't really need it with TrackIR but face tracking might be less stable (or more precise!) making if more difficult to keep your POV in the sim in one spot.

I would get one of the Tobi wasn't the double in price of a TIR unit and only to replace a TIR 4 that still works just fine after all these years. I'll spend my money on something else.
