AIG aitraffic effects folder disappeared

Recommended Posts

Just had AIGM update everything and after that I remarked that on both my pc’s the aig-aitraffic-effects folder is gone…

There is an Effects folder in the main aig-aitraffic-OCI-beta \ Effects folder…

Is this correct ?

If not : how can I get it back ?

Thanks in advance …

"Verify setup" inside the AIM, I'd say.

Before it was there too but now it is no longer there.

The question is how to get it back … ?

I remember somebody from AIG mentioned that it has to be removed for their new models to work properly...and AIM should create a new effect folder automatically after verify setup is run...(something like that)

I purposely removed mine. Too much of a toll on frames. Ill take a pass on pretty effects if its going to involve a further reduction of 2-3 frames.  Maybe they saw the light and realized that it was too much of a perf cost or maybe not and there is something else going on with your install.

But running verify setup should reinstall whatever is missing. ( For now though i personally dont want it if it involves losing frames)

It did not come back after Verify setup, but if this effect folder is the cause for the framerate drop then it might be that it will not be rebuilt at this moment …

An outdated effects foldet was the cause, but that was fixed. A new one will be installed with verify setup. That's what it did for me: I manually deleted it, ran verify setup, and there was the new one (manually deleting it wasn't necessary, verify setup would have done the same after it was fixed, but I did it before the fix was out).
You might want to check if the paths are correct to your community folder, other than that, you should probably go to their Discord for support.

Further I got a new version of AIM last time I run it, could be indeed with the new version they decide to remove it (?) based on the FPS "loss" claims recently...

No they did not. It was only an outdated effects folder that did not get automatically updated that caused this, not the actual up-to-date effects folder. The new effects do cost 2-3 FPS, yes, but not 20 like the outdated effects folder did.
as stated above I manually deleted it and it got reinstated by the verify setup with the latest update 2-3 days ago, so it's definitely not "removed" by AIG.

Manually deleted my folder, ran verify setup, and never got a new folder after.  Odd.....

It took a couple of runs of Verify Setup before the new effects folder appeared in Community.

Thank you ! The 3rd time I ran verify setup the folder appeared again. For now I keep it deactivated in AddonsLinker to keep max fps …
