April 11, 20233 yr Though it DOES work wonderfully with DX12, now I can state categorically it does not work in DX11. I have repeatedly stated in the past three days that it does work with DX11, even going as far as to correct those that we’re trying to set me strait. I said that even tho FG was greyed out that it was on and working. I believe this was caused by my incorrect interpretaction of posts in other forums, a placebo effect on my part, and the new hardware I had just installed. To all of those folks I pointed in the wrong direction I’m sorry and now let me explain. 3 days ago I upgraded my RTX3070ti to a 4070ti. My primary goal was to enable FG in MSFS with no DLSS, only TSS and FG. I thought I had accomplished that in DX11 but I was wrong. After reading these forums and some feedback to my posts of the past three days I decided to do some due diligence. When I enabled DX12, my FG was NOT greyed out, and it showed FG as active with TSS and DX12. Now checking my frames with FG AND DX12 I see about 120FPS, 99% 110FPS and about 15-20 latency (varies). THESE are the frame rates that Nvidia FG delivers and the good news for me is it is capable without the use of DLSS, the use of which tends to cause blurry gauges on flight sims. No blurry gauges for me and the good news to all is that the Frame Goodness that you seek with your investment in a 40XX series card is available and ready…with the right settings 😇😇😇 Sorry for any confusion I may have caused. So very glad to have Nvidia Frame Generation with TSS working on my PC. Currently flying the Fenix a320 over California at 120FPS. Amazing…but ONLY in DX12😎 -B Edited April 11, 20233 yr by btacon
April 11, 20233 yr It takes a rare and admirable gentleman to publicly point out his own mistakes. If I were to point out everything I ever said on AVSIM that turned out to be erroneous, the site would crash from bandwidth overload. April 11, 20233 yr Good on you for explaining what happened and admitting you were wrong. And it's also good to hear you're finally getting the performance you wanted. I've been hoping the 4070ti (and future 4xxx gen) cards would boost performance with FG sufficiently, and I think it does. 👍 AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S
