I like FlyTampa's work a lot, but nearly 2 years after EHAM for P3D?
EKCH, YSSY and KLAS were released much, much quicker and they are plenty good.

My guess is that they needed to wait on some real world construction works to finish in order to have proper input for their scenery building. For instance the new bridge in the Bravo taxiway is still under construction on Google earth (Bing Maps it is actually completed).

Further more there are extensive works on the A-pier which are quite significant if not included.

Interesting observations. Quite plausible, that they're waiting out for completed work. Any idea of when the construction on the A-pier is done?

Also isn’t FlyTampa a group of developers? It’s not always the same person on all the airports

They could have retained some goodwill had they stated that's the reason why it's taking much longer than usual (if it was indeed due to that).

They appear to work individually on their own scenery projects under the FT brand umbrella.

I live about 1 mile from Schiphol and it has been under construction for as long as I can remember and that's a long time.

FYI: recent post from Emilios on the FlyTampa forums (posted on September 23rd):

Testing Amsterdam has always been relentless, whatever the platform. probably because the testers are predominantly Dutch aviation experts 🙂
there's lots of new additions in the MSFS version, which prolonged things further.

Its nearly finalised though, should have news in the coming days.
