Update on MSFS KJFK scenery from Inbuilds.

Featured Replies

Good news and bad news with this KJFK scenery from Inbuilds.

The good news is that the transfer to INIMANAGER was successful. However, there is an update to V 1.0.2 that includes some improvements, but unfortunately, there are still issues with uneven pavement on the taxiways and runways in many areas. This can causes big issues during taxiing, takeoff, and landing. Texture problems are also noticeable at the terminal buildings, especially in low visibility conditions. It seems like the quality control and attention to detail people may not be on board with this.

just to rule out the obvious (as also mentioned in inimanager): did you delete the default Asobo KJFK?

Have you posted these issues on their support forum?

To be honest, my answer is no. As I was browsing different forums, I noticed a recurring issue similar to what's happening at PMDG. It seems that any bug reports or findings are not well-received. What caught my attention was their response regarding the sequence lights for runway 13 L/R. They stated that it's an issue with DX11 x DX12 (NVIDIA), but it's possible that some items are not optimized correctly. They do have a "feedback" section, but you can't access it unless you sign up for it. It's unfortunate because I do recognize the hard work and challenges that come with the MSFS/ASOBO platform, but there are just too many bugs at present, and their priorities are not aligned with my expectations. Although I appreciate the updates, it's disheartening to see that they haven't addressed the issues with the taxiways and runways that are causing problems from the start.

They're pretty good at replying back to your posts or concerns. Working within the limitations of FS, there doing a suburb job with issues. just have to let them know and they will tell you if it's fixable or not. Wish more software developers were like them.

Maybe they've changed recently, however this has not been my experience.

I made lists of issues for KDTW, as well as different versions of EGLL. Each time feedback was well-received and all the changes/fixes were made.

In fact, I wish more developers were as responsive as they are.

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)

Thank you for the information, gentlemen. I will consider it and attempt to contact them once I am back home. Currently, I am on the road and some locations around the world are difficult to access even with a VPN.
