Msaa or ssaa preference

Trying to understand what’s best to use, SSAA or MSAA?

I’ve heard one is better then the other at day or night, etc

i have an i9-10850k and a rtx 4070.

using p3dv4

SSAA basically "render" the view in higher resolution for AA, which costs more computing power.

MSAA will try not to all rendering,but just some step, so saved power, but might got error.

I think the best way is just try yourself and balance the visual/FPS as your own preference.

It depends on your screen resolution. If (like me) you run at 1080p resolution, then SSAA is the only viable option. However, MSAA may be perfectly acceptable at 4K.

I am 4k here but I still use 4 x SSAA. MSAA still gives a slight shimmering to certain objects. Wind turbines in particular look rough with MSAA.
