To the top of Ben Nevis in 9 days.

I think he was experienced because his crew on foot had explosives at the ready (about 4 minutes in). I see over 100 Youtube videos on how to hike/climb Ben Nevis today.

Fort William is only 2 miles from Ben Nevis peak. 9 days round trip seems a long time...

Judging by the massive number of loose rocks, it's a wonder he didn't break any of the wooden wheels or spokes! It's also a wonder that he managed to keep moving along in the snow. Those narrow tires didn't have all that much traction! 😄

Even our best SUVs would be useless but I think there must be a track or road now. If there is, it must be wide enough for one vehicle so the standard protocol for descending vehicles to give way to ascending vehicles would apply..

That is not terribly surprising for a stock SUV. Here in Utah and Arizona there are many folks who've built (or bought) custom off-road vehicles that are "rock crawlers." They would handle even such scree slopes with ease. They typically are lifted 18" or more, have up to 45" tires, and have fully articulated independent suspensions.

I've been geeking out watching some of my favorite YouTubers, all of whom do off-road recoveries of broken, stuck or rolled rock crawlers as well as folks who don't realize that their stock Ranger, or Mercedes just has no business attempting to drive on those trails!
