Cannot file flight plan

Hi Dave,

 

Created a FP via SimBrief as per normal and imported it into P2A without issue as per usual. Validated the FP no problem. Connected to MSFS no problem. Changed freq to clrdel no problem. Went to click the file button nothing happens. Clicked again, nothing happens. Requested clearance and told to file a flight plan. Clicked file light plan, nothing happened.

Havn't seen this issue before.

Logs in the spoiler below because I can't see how to attach actual files here on AVSIM.

The FP displayed fine and validated fine in the route window...no idea why it wouldn't file.

Try disabling 'ATC assigns STAR' in version 2.7.0.0_x64_Beta2 which appears bugged. Doing so so allows filing here.

Or, just delete the last waypoint, CS, and it will file correctly. 

Not sure why SIMBrief would put the last waypoint of a plan as a VOR right over the airport unless it planned to use an approach that had that as a transition point.

Yeah odd....I just generated another SimBrief FP from YBCS to YMML. SimBrief again assigned the final waypoint at ML which is the YMML VOR. This time P2ATC filed the FP but the FP is borked as its requiring an overfly of the airport and then direct to the ILS approach. Never seen this behaviour before. Nothings changed on my end as far as SimBrief goes....

Removing that ML VOR and the preceeding airway fixed (H119) fixed the issue....

Is this a recent change to Pilot2ATC? I've never seen this occur before...

That is a SIMBrief issue, not a P2A issue.

However, you might try telling SIMBrief you want it to include a STAR and Approach.  It will then likely have the route end at a proper transition point, if one exists.

Both CS and ML are published arrival points contained in the off air routes planning manual of the Australian AIP.

I'm not conversant with planning rules for Australia as to whether a STAR should be filed.

It does look like EGMC had a 16/34 runway at one point in its history

Turns out the problem was with the STAR selected only having one Waypoint, causing the selection process to fail and no Appr or STAR being selected.  Manually selecting them seems to work, but until the next update has the fix for the bug, you can delete CS or add STAR/Appr manually before filing.

In other news - Did you have any success in plotting Parking Gates onto the main map? I raised it a few months ago as an idea 🙂
