July 12, 20232 yr If I am wrong about this, please let me know. Seems like the Fs2crew offerings for Fenix’s A320 and PMDG’s 737-800 are based on European procedures. I know I read that 737-800 SOP 2 is based on Ryanair. To be fair I did read that USA carriers were more like SOP 1. I do have a friend who is Delta pilot and when I asked him about the new Airbus procedures. Assuming he understood my question, he said that Delta had not implemented them. Anyway seems like it would be nice to have some US based procedure sets. When I attended FlightSimExpo 2023 I was surprised how many of the vendors were from Europe. Is flight simming a bigger deal in Europe? Thanks ahead for any responses and or corrections.
July 12, 20232 yr Commercial Member Europeans, especially Germans, are probably our largest market. Germans like technical things I guess... The poets of Europe 😉 737 SOP 1 is basically a OEM Boeing. It's pretty stock with lots of options for customization. SOP 2 is a low cost EU airline. FS2Crew for the FBW A320 Airbus uses the older Airbus SOPs (a lot of users actually prefer them since the checklists are longer and there is more of them). FS2Crew for the Fenix Airbus uses the updated Airbus procedures. Hope that helps! Edited July 12, 20232 yr by byork B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 12, 20232 yr Is it the same for the FSLab Airbus in P3D Bryan? Older Airbus SOP I assume? Thanks. Vic green
July 12, 20232 yr Commercial Member Yes, FS Labs Airbus is old SOP, too. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 12, 20232 yr Author I saw that you updated your post about the Fenix A320. Delta pilot friend of mine says Delta does not use the new Airbus procedures. I assume no way to use old procedures with the Fenix.
July 14, 20232 yr Commercial Member Sorry for the late reply. Most of our support is on Discord now. You cannot use the old SOPs with the Fenix version of FS2Crew. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
