Still putting my XP12 together. Going nicely and I'm really enjoying it. Here's a few of the 747-100 from XP11 happily burbling along around Seattle.

Heading south out of KSEA, then turning back and heading north. Don't ask me why, I just felt like it! Weather gets a bit rough as well.

I haven't abandoned MSFS by any means, but this is looking and feeling as good as MSFS in my book, where stuff like TE is available, And actually, if I stay up in the big birds a bit higher than my ususal thing it looks pretty good in most places with the SimHeaven stuff and VSims ortho. To the point where I actually went and blew over 100 USD on some XP planes on offer at the org site today. Expect to see a new 747-200 and an MD-11 sometime soon!

A beautiful set Andy and glad to see you have XP-12 looking so good.

Your Pan Am 747 takes me back to my spotting days at LHR so many moons ago.

That's looking really good. Glad you're having fun!

Very nice shots Andy! 😉

Yuup, very nice shots, like the 747-200 😎 - this bird is still missing in MSFS..

cheers 😉

Magnificient screenies, Andy. How's the VC of that bird?

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

Thanks Martyn, and happy to be a nostalgia prompt. Never did any serious spotting myself, just a couple of trips out near Sarfend airport in my yoof. I seem to remember there were still fields with actual haystacks in around one side of the airport and that was a great place to idle away an afternoon.

Cheers PM. Can't remember for sure but weren't JustFlight talking about doing this for MSFS at some point? What I'd really love to get, for either sim, would be a well modelled -SP. A stubby 747? could it be any better?

Thanks Bernd. I know this might sound like an affectation but to be honest, I never really noticed the VC! I only ever glance at the altimeter/inclination thingy and I'm never really aware of what else is going on unless something is flashing or yelling at me (which does seem to happen quite often <grin>). All I can say is there are lots of gauges that all seem to work, and lots of displays with moving bars that also seem to work, and lots of buttons (but I've no idea if any of those work!).  When I say I'm not a cockpit-botherer, I'm not joking.

But I'll grab a screenie for you next time I'm in there.
