July 23, 20232 yr When I start MSFS, I cannot get the world to move, and I can't zoom in on it in the start menu. I used to be able to use this feature to rotate the world and zoom in on a particular country and select an airport to startup at. Does not work anymore. Any suggesstions? Thanks
July 23, 20232 yr Author I found the answer. Mouse must be in DEFAULT mode. In the sim, go to OPTIONS/CONTROL OPTIONS/MOUSE and make sure DEFAULT is selected.
July 23, 20232 yr Interesting. My MOUSE is set to a specific profile, not to DEFAULT, and I can zoom in and out and go wherever I want in the World Map. July 23, 20232 yr Author Some how it had moved to PROGRAM. I don't know how I did that, but I put it back to DEFAULT and everything works.

The mouse grabs the map even in customized configurations, not only in default. Be sure that in Options>Control Options>Mouse>Menu the "'GRAB WORLDMAP" is assigned to the left button. July 24, 20232 yr "CAN'T USE THE WORLD ON STARTUP". This is normal for me when I get up in the morning! On a more serious note, this first happened for some people (including me) about a year ago after an update. Asobo seemed to include a default mouse setting in an update which over-wrote some users mouse profiles, and it was without the left mouse assignment that Dominique mentions above. For users affected, once we knew the solution that Dominique mentions, it was a quick and easy fix. But of course it shouldn't happen in the first place. I am sure if you go back to your non-default mouse profile and add this setting, it will be fine. Edited July 24, 20232 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). July 26, 20232 yr Author Thanks for the replies. As you can see from my second post above, I also found the DEFAULT problem. Problem solved.
