July 23, 20232 yr Hi, I've installed the update from V5.3 to V5.4 last week, and since then I am having problems which I didn't have on other updates in V4 nor V5. The problem occurs when I load an aircraft from the default F22 start screen (always used this one), turn the engines on and then, when trying to switch on the avionics, they never come to life. No radios, no altitude selector, no GPS. This started happening with A2A Bonanza and Cessna 182. Posting on their forum, I received the recommendation to reset the flight. Okay, this worked, but every time I come to the simulator I have to reset the flight to use the aircraft avionics. I do not discard some corruption during the v5.4 installation because I've been reading lots of forums about P3D and I didn't see any complain about this. After resetting the flight, things go normally during a flight. Any thoughts? Thanks! July 25, 20232 yr After installing the V5.4 update I have not had any issue as you describe with either A2A aircraft that I have, both have normal avionics operation after loading. You might try uninstalling one of them and then do a fresh install. A few years ago I had the same issue where the A2A Bonanza avionics would not turn on and a new installation fixed what ever was causing the issue. Gary Stewart
July 28, 20232 yr Hi Gary, I was really concerned about being the only one with that issue, sort of an evil entity in my rig. What you recommend is a fresh install of Bonanza or P3D? I've just made a fresh install of the Bonanza and things didn't change: avionics only work after resetting the flight. Thanks for replying. Edited July 28, 20232 yr by Heron Heron Jr
July 28, 20232 yr Do a new installation of the Bonanza, I made sure the original folders of any thing A2A related were removed from the system beforehand. Gary Stewart
July 28, 20232 yr Author Hi, I did that yesterday and things remained the same. I've really cleaned every piece, file and folder of the Bonanza before reinstalling her. I will try again tonight. Anyway, thanks a lot! Heron Domingues, Jr Intel Core I7 10700KF, 3.80GHz (5.10GHz Turbo), Gigabyte B460, RAM 32GB, Corsair 750W, GPU Palit RTX 3060, Windows 10 Pro 64., P3Dv5.4.
July 28, 20232 yr It sounds to me like the avionics are off in the default F22 flight--if not, turn them on and save the scenario as your new default flight. Could be the upgrade installed a new default flight with the avionics switched off.
