August 12, 20232 yr OS:win10, Downloaded new v1.2 ai manager, run as administrator, when waiting for the update, a cmd window popped up showing taskkill command killed ai manager process. How to deal with this problem? thanks!!
August 12, 20232 yr Have you already installed AI Manager from before or is it a fresh install? Maybe disable antivirus/system security as it sounds like it is blocking the process. New programs can often cause that. Edited August 12, 20232 yr by Dave_YVR i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

How to deal with this problem? thanks!! I don't have set it to be run as administrator and it runs fine. Let it update itself after the CMD window and wait for the main UI to be loaded up. Once open, In the UI click on Settings and then under the AIGAIM-OCI tab make sure the path is pointing exactly where your AI files are (your community folder or any other folder you have selected to be linked to the community folder). August 14, 20232 yr You sure have me confused. When either AIG program updates, there is a dos command box pops up and stops the program you are updating and then restarts it once update is finished. It's been that way since day one. You say it's first time install, that's what I find confusing, since the box pops up it sounds like you already have it installed and it's updating. Makes no sense for a system box to come up and complain if you are not running any type of system protection. How do I know the AIM is updating itself if in explore there is no one AIM process related?

August 14, 20232 yr I honestly do not remember what happened when I first installed it. I installed it the day it was released and am still running the original install.
