Cessna Citation CJ4 CG % MAC

Featured Replies

Howdy, Does anyone know what is going on with the CG of the Cessna Citation CJ4? I have to remove the pilot and the copilot to move the CG back. If I put 1 200 pound people in the pilot & co-pilot seat it's like I added 1000lbs each for the pilot & co-pilot.

I just realized I may have been too low on fuel which caused the CG issues.   Is there like a bare minimums fuel load with the CJ4?  Seems like a 30 min flight with 30 reserve messes up the CG cause I am too light on fuel weight.

Wow just discovered you can move the empty CG position% mac in the weight and balance. What is this all about?  Is this kinda like a cheat or something?

Kinda thinking out loud here while trying to figure this out... So please excuse my multiple posts 😲

I'm watching also.  I haven't flown the CJ4 more than once or twice.  But have been watching tutorials last week.  So I'm intrigued to see some answers

I would like to understand theCenter of Gravity (CG) and Mean Aerodynamic Chord (MAC) .                                             https://www.flight-study.com/2021/11/center-of-gravity-cg-and-mean.html

In the weight & balance of msfs you can change the percent MAC. And would anyone happen to know what the real CJ4's percent MAC is.

single pilot, 154 pounds minimum weight, zero fuel and zero luggage works within CG:
