September 20, 20232 yr While updating P3D v6 to the latest version I noticed that my CPU (7800X3D) goes to 87°C. Why does it get so hot? I have an EK Nucleus 360 AIO and don't think my cooling it's to blame.

A 360 AIO is usually quite effective for keeping temps reasonable. Many things could affect the temps you have noted. What was the ambient room temp? It has a big effect on cpu cooling. Have you made changes to the cpu? Overclocking? What temps do you see when playing games, or running a stress test? If its a new setup, has the thermal paste been applied correctly. Newer Ryzens are slightly different to previous cpus. The hot spot is somewhat off centre. John B

Running FS9 there .VKB Gladiator NXT Premium Left + GNX THQ as primary controllers. Xbox Series X|S wireless controller as standby/mobile.
