Slow/failed download

Featured Replies

Hey guys!

I'm in Mumbai/India and trying to re-install MSFS after getting the premium deulux version from the store.

I'm getting less than steller speeds. I'm running a 500MB up/down fiber line. I don't have any issues downloading games from steam on my PC. Jiust for example i got GTA V down in under 45 minutes.

However with MSFS I'm getting between 0.90 to 2Mbits/s
I left it running for 2 days and yet to have a sucessful download.

It does reach 150-200mbits at times but then goes back down.

I've followed a few steps of running a VPN, trying to reset the network adapter, dns etc. None seems to help

Thanks

The best thing to do is wait
Microsoft is having problems with this update at their end and there is nothing that users can do about it.

You probably chose a bad moment to reinstall the sim. There is quite a big update going on at the moment so everyone is trying to update at the same time.

Nope.

Things should be way better now than yesterday.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Judging by what little is left of my hair I'd say they're about the same.
It's odd because a buddy of mine (same town, same ISP but he has way slower speeds than I do) reported that he breezed through his installation,

Reached the point (24+hrs and two Steam verifications later and I'm just about done with the "basic" update [ ~115GB - ] (crawling on decompressing the Spirit of St.Louis, showing 115.07Gigs out of 115.07Gigs BUT 59 out of 350 items <---numbers to the left of the "Decompressing..." message.)

Seriously thinking of completely uninstalling and waiting for a week or two until the mad rush dies down / MS-Asobo work out their issues and then trying a re-install.
