Mario Noriega Designs SIAI-Marchetti FN.330 out not

Featured Replies

Mario Noriega Designs the developer of the sublime C-22J is back with a new plane, the SIAI-Marchetti FN.330.

While just as quirky as the previous plane this one this time it's a 4 seat amphibious tourer and it's it's even half as good as the previous plane it's a must buy for me.

It's currently a iniBuilds Store exclusive (for 2 weeks) for £9.99 (plus VAT)

Thanks for the headsup... I love the C-22J and will def support him with buying this one, too. Wonderful niche planes and that one is looking like a seabee on steriods 😄

So I bought it if course, (after the C22J how could I resist) and first impressions are very good.

Internal visuals are a step up from there '22. Won't win any prizes but do they job.

Systems modelling it's looks at first glance. CBs are working, the various digital systems look good, (need to properly read there manual to get the details in engineer monitor etc) even pulling the power/volume knobs out on the KX155s works (haven't tested whether there Test/Ident functionality is actually modelled but being able to just operates the controls is nice). The impression, like C-22J is of a dev who properly cares about accurate modelling at much add they possibly can.

In terms of flying, only done a very quick start up and runway take off from NZQN, water landing in the lake in front, then water take off and back to the runway but I liked the way it flew and I definitely want to test it some more.

Sounds also seemed good, was missing having openable windows as I'd liked to jabbed been able to hear the engine better.

Also despite being a piston engined planes (250hp Continental) it has a working prop reverse, but trying it out on land was definitely a mistake 🙂

So while I wanted to try the plane out a lot more, I think this could well be another little gem from MND.

Looks great and I can't wait to get it in the air. Does anyone know where the manual is, I can't find it to save my life!

Hello! The manual is inside mnd-aircraft-fn333\documents.

Alternatively, you can download it from my web page, www.mariosplanes.com (xBox users cannot navigate to the file in the package, so the download is available).
