October 11, 20232 yr I couldn't understand how the “giant conductive counterweight on the far side of the moon” would pull the Earth away from the sun (28:20). “We could aim to outlive the stars themselves in some one hundred trillion years” (27:24). Having said that, they would also be so far advanced to be well up the Kardashev scale, so who knows what incredible capabilities they would have. The heat death of the universe isn't a survivable event, there remains just a scalar field, that may or may not generate a new big bang. After stars burn out though, there are still stellar remnants, white dwarfs, black holes, neutron stars.
