October 31, 20232 yr Up till now I have a positive experience with using Simbrief in FBW A320 as well as Fenix A320 and importing flightplans by making use of the tablets. Now that PMDG recently introduced its tablet I immediately jumped over to the B738 to gain some experience with it. After many hours of working with the Simbrief Downloader and trying many different download directories (following PMDG, Simbrief and Navigraph guidance) I still every time get the following message on the PMDG tablet: SimBrief error: Either your Simbrief alias is incorrect, or you have no flight plan. This is followed by some proposed checks to do. I am convinced this most likely is caused by the selected download directories that I keyed in and tested. Can somebody help me in providing the "golden" download directory to get rid of this error message mentioned before and get going with the 738?? Many thanks.
October 31, 20232 yr Are you using the alias, or the numerical value for your Simbrief ID? It needs the alias. Some planes want the numeral value; some the alpha value. PMDG wants the latter.
October 31, 20232 yr Author Thanks for your reply. What exactly is the Alpha value and where can I find it?
October 31, 20232 yr With the PMDG EFB you shouldn't have to specify a directory, the EFB will load it properly.
