Why i still get..

Featured Replies

..after that long time of development from the FBW team those annoying pauses from 1 to 5 seconds at flights with the A320 ?? ( Using the last and now the newest Dev. Build )

My settings are moderate and not excessively high .

It seems to me that it often happens between 10,000-13,000 feet altitude and that happened 3 times with 1-3 seconds, recently it was also 5 seconds often seen at decent and short before touchdown my runway.

Is it code or is this my older PC now ( see specs and on 4K full 3840 X 2160 ) ?

Anyone else seeing such issues ?

Does it do this aswell with newer hardware to people for example with a Intel 13900 and Nvidia 4XXX  cards ?

Any kind of answers relating this problem/issue would be helpful..

EDIT: I forgot to say i do not see such heavy issues flying other planes for example PMDG 737, Fenix A320, Asobo/WT 787-10 or 787-9, Concorde and a lot more others..

cheers 😉

8GB 2080 with 4K? Wow, optimistic.

Maybe GPU memory is full and the short freezes happen when memory is emptied and re-filled?

I have stutters and temporary freezes when i fly low and with enabled photogrammetry (the reason why PG is deactivated).

I have currently no other issues.

DX11, 4K Resolution, G-Sync, but my GPU has 50% more RAM than yours. Maybe...? Gust Guessing.

I thought the 4 second pause thing was fairly universal.  Not really related to PC spec or settings, and maybe just lag when requesting scenery.  I see it in MSFS streamers YouTube videos a lot.  I get it normally after just loading into the aircraft and panning around for the first time, and also when scenery loads at a complex airport when I am a mile or two away.

DX11, 4k Ultra settings, DLSS.  I have just gotten used to it now.  Everything else is fine and I can normally hold 60 FPS alright, so I just put it down to loading pauses.
I nearly always have my heart in my mouth though until the sim comes back to life, as I used to get the dreaded audio squelch then CTD during a pause.
I have not had that for a good while now.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Not here, I've never experienced a pause that long. I mainly sim at weekends, which I would expect to be a busy time on the MSFS servers.

Does anyone with a Ryzen CPU experience these pauses? I'm thinking the greater L3 cache on Ryzen chips puts AMD users in good stead. You all appear to be Intel CPU users, which was a common factor with anyone struggling with long pauses in P3D as well.

Does that mean that I also have the same thing with an I9 13900 and an Nvidia 4090 card, because that would disappoint me terribly .

In fact I was planning on giving myself something like that for Christmas, but if that's the case with this hardware aswell I can leave it alone and keep the money save ! 😔

What do you have your frames locked too?  Hopefully around 30-35.

I have 33-38 up in the air and 22-26 at Airports, only the bigger hubs like inibuilds KJFK could give me under 20, this is all with FSLTL in use..

Guys, you seriously need to move away from this 'Intel-is-best' thinking. It was true before, now no longer.

They run hotter, use more Watts to boost Hz and give less performance than the Ryzen X3D CPUs in MSFS.
Plus, the AM5 socket is set to stick around for another 3 years, meaning you could drop a new CPU into your existing Mobo: https://www.extremetech.com/computing/amd-confirms-am5-socket-will-extend-to-2026-zen-5-to-use-rnda-35-gpus
