Cockpit Setup for A320/Fenix

Featured Replies

I currently fly the Fenix with a desktop (specs in my sig) and have a throttletek thrust lever, a realistic A320 side stick and rudder pedals.  All of these basically are run off of a desk with a monitor behind it.  Is there anything else out there that I could purchase that would give me a little better feel of a cockpit for the A320 and also be able to place my side stick, and thrust lever in a semi realistic position?  Are there any other plug and play hardware for other parts of the cockpit that works with the Fenix?  It has been a while to see what is out there so i was curious.  For the sake of conversation, money isn't an option but it must work in MSFS and be preferably compatible with the Fenix.  Thanks!

I have the Skalarki MCDU and FCU, both are great pieces of hardware.

The only way to use them with the Fenix right now is with drivers by a company called DE Flight.  They aren’t official and Skalarki has actually become publicly hostile toward them lately (check the Skalarki Facebook if you want the details) but the drivers do work well.  Flying the Fenix with Skalarki hardware is a dream.

Skalarki is allegedly working on official drivers to support Fenix but other than a Facebook response post there hasn’t been anything else to indicate it’s actually happening.  Skalarki previously said Fenix support was out of the question so 🤷‍♂️.

Interesting. Do they ship the the US?  How easy is the MCDU and FCU to set up?  A quick glance on their site would lead me to believe you need to be very technical to set it up

At the moment, the only thing is a Frankenstein combination of the VRinsight MCP Combo II - Airbus FCU plus AAO software and a profile from FS.to like this.

Or at a very basic level is the Stream Deck plus a profile like these from FS.to.

A lot of us are awaiting delivery this month of an (alledgedly) compatible Airbus FCU from miniCockpit, which went live after a very successful Kickstarter funding round.
There are other glareshield components envisioned to purchase at a later date.
After receiving positive progress updates on a regular basis, we'll just have to see if it will be as good as promised.

Just seen the comment by @regis9. I had thought the Skalarki stuff wasn't compatible and explicitly announced that it wouldn't be made compatible with the Fenix A320. 🤷‍♂️

I had mine delivered to Canada so I can’t imagine the US would be an issue.

I think difficulty is relative but it wasn’t too complicated, not like trying to map stuff in Spad or anything like that.  The DE Flight drivers and incredibly simple to use.

Can you send me some links to these?  I am very interested in both but not sure what specifically to look for

I don't see any place to buy this... On their site, when you hit products, nothing seems to show up and only appears to be in Chinese.  Did I miss something?

Thanks. Does most of their work unofficially with Fenix or just what you bought?

I think more than what I have but I’m not 100% sure.  They have a discord if you wanted to ask over there.

Thanks.  I'll check this out.  If I were to buy the MCDU and FCU from there, besides the de-flight stuff, is there any other licenses, cables, etc. that I would need to buy on top of that?

Nope, all included.  The only other thing I did was buy some heavy duty “Velcro” to hold the MCDU on my desk.  Not 100% necessary but it’s nice when you’re pressing the keys the have it completely still.

One more thing, by "they have a discord", are you referring to Fenix or Skalarki?
