Up to 30% increase in FPS: update your dlss.dll file

Well as far as I know, the extra frames are generated exclusively by the GPU without putting any more extra load on the CPU (main thread), so yes.

The problem is, if the main thread is severely overloaded, you may still get hitching.
The GPU can only do so much guessing, as it needs data every other frame to fill in the gaps.  So if your CPU main thread limits you to say 12 FPS, you will only get 24 FPS overall and it may seem to stutter a bit.
There is nothing more that frame generation can help with at that point.

Overall though, this has got to be worth having.

Ok thanks for the help.

This worth it if you're mainthread limited?

Yep. Literally everyone is main thread limited.

I went from 30 to 40 fps. Tons of other people saw demonstrable increases. Others didn’t. Has nothing to do with placebo.

Agreed. Just tried DSLL paired with 'Balanced', in different scenarios, it is empirically proven in my case that the increase is roughly 52-56 region to 68-72 fps.

I think it is near consensus that the DSLL is a game changer (albeit without drawbacks)

Nice to hear! Yeah, I keep hearing the same thing. For some people it doesn’t make a demonstrable difference, but it has been literally game-changing for many, many people at this point.

does this go along with the adaptive LOD mod and especially the Frame Generation mod and its replacing dll's?
