Yeah I read never expecting miracles, rarely do even I see/read these kinda threads but I'm always intrigued regardless. December 6, 20232 yr Has anyone checked the version of the dlssg file after SU14? I did try this a while ago and the latest version I had downloaded was 3.1.30 I just checked my actual file and it shows version 3.5.10 and the modified date was yesterday, yet I do not recall ever downloading this version and it is not in the folder I kept the original MSFS file and the one I did download and try I am curious to see if this got updated as well with either SU14 Richard i7-12700K | Noctua NH-D15S Black Version | MSI Pro Z690 - A | 32 GB DDR4 3600 | Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090 | 1TB WD Blue NMVe (MSFS 2020) | 500 GB WD Black Gen 4 NVMe | 4TB WD Black Conventional | Fractal Design Torrent Case | Seasonic 1000W Gold Plus PSU | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Honeycomb Throttle | Airbus Side Stick | Virpil Rudder Pedals | Sony X90K 55 Inch TV |

I had already manually updated nvngx_dlss.dll (without the 'g') to v3.5.10 before I updated to SU14. This file appears unmodifed by SU14 for me. Edit: According to someone on the official forums, "SU14 brings 3.5.10 DLSS inside, so no need to update." I should have noted that my test was performed after SU14. One thing that I have noticed is that the glass panels look quite nice with the updated DLSS file, and I no longer need to use GeForce Experience to scale and sharpen in order to achieve acceptable clarity and fps at 4K resolution. So overall, it seems to be a win even though the frame rate is similar. I had to convert my MS store version of MSFS to the new version through the Xbox app Harry. There is no protection on the folder after that, and the DLSS swapper found it automatically. There are instructions on how to do this on the parallel 42 website for their app called Stripr, which also requires this. I found it was no major drama to do it. Just go carefully. It says it is converting something like 137 GB, but in effect, it was only a few gigabytes, and you can choose a different drive. I got it off my c drive and told it to go to my f drive (flightsim). My official and community folders are there anyway. That is why my move was only about 2 GB. It is just the core settings / starter folder I think. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). The move worked like a charm. Took more time to read and understand the //42 instructions than the move itself. I'm so happy that I can now access the content of that folder. Not only for the nvngx_dlss.dll replacement which was not so urgent for me. Much more important, I can now create MSFS profiles for two other apps which was not possible until now because these apps required the msfs.exe location for creating a profile. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

Then you already have the new type of MSFS store installation Gerard, with less protection. Old todgers like me who had the original installation from over three years ago needed to convert it over. It was no big deal in the end. This will also allow me to try reshade now as well. I might give it a go over the Christmas holiday.
