November 23, 20232 yr I recently have read that MaccoSim has access to the real airport and is going to upgrade the scenery accordingly. Will this update be free for customers who have the current version? I ask because they have it on sale. If the update cost something, I would wait for it. If it's going to be free, I will buy this version on sale. Anyone has any info?
November 23, 20232 yr Per their website: Quote Free future updates Whenever we make minor updates to our airports, you will receive the update for free! No idea. I'll shut up now. November 23, 20232 yr I just checked via the Macco Sim App, it does mention the updates will be released gradually over a period of time, which suggests to me it likely is a free upgrade. There is no mention of a charge. AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

It sounds like a complete reconstruction, and optimisation of the whole airport, both using satellite/ and Onsight visits, as they have been in contact with the powers at "B" at EGCC. It's pretty good still, considering it was one of the first addons i bought, but this next version sounds like a big improvement throughout. November 24, 20232 yr If this is Manchester I have it - because it is a very nostalgic place for me - and it used to be called - 'Ringway" My first memories are of a prefabricated terminal at war's end - and a large Hangar across the runway where Parachutists were trained - amongst them - my dad as the years went by - spent many hours watching the planes land and take off - and in the 60's - flew from there to London and Glasgow in the Vickers Viscounts and Vanguards I was last there in 2008 on a flight from Australia to Manchester and return on a Singapore 777
November 24, 20232 yr Moderator I don’t have MSFS but these recent airport charts may help you compare what you have now to reality. I have no idea if work on T2 expansion has completed. T1 and T3 are due to be demolished and rebuilt in the next few years so it might be some time before you have an airport in MSFS that matches the actual one. Ray (Cheshire, England).
