November 30, 20232 yr I'm trying to get my autopilot disconnect button on my Honeycombe Alpha XPC to function as it's meant to in this aircraft but am unsure what the correct assignement for it is in the sim. In the manual it states: Quote The EFS 40’s integrated flight director can be toggled by pressing the “FD” button. The flight director can also be deactivated via the red autopilot disconnect buttons on either yoke. In the real aircraft, this push button has two stages of activation. For your convenience, this feature is approximated with two presses of the button. The first press will deactivate only the autopilot master, allowing the user to hand-fly the aircraft. The flight director and relevant modes will remain engaged. Upon pressing the disconnect button a second time, the flight director will also be disengaged. When the autopilot master is disengaged after the first press, all autopilot modes can still be selected on the Century IV mode control panel, which will apply to the command bars, just as if the autopilot was still flying the aircraft itself. So, one push should disconnect the autopilot and another get rid of the flight director but what is the actual assignment in MSFS? I can assign my big red off button to any number of assignments to disconnect or even toggle the autopilot on and off with this button but I can't get it to trigger the FD on the second press. I assume Black Square have a specific assignment that is linked that I'm anaware of? 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

Do you use a third party app like SpadNext or FSUIPC7? Al Edited November 30, 20232 yr by ark

This is going to be internal code, not an MSFS assignment. You have to create some equivalent programming, using FSUIPC or similar.. A simpler way would be to have one button for AP and another for FD. Also, be aware that the author is "fixing" the autopilot connect code in an update.. so it may be coded differently in the next version. Edited November 30, 20232 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

I did try SpadNext once but it made my little brain hurt and I have not used FSUIPC since FSX and P3D. I may just have to live with the two button option. Ah well. So be it. Cheers guys. 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
