November 30, 20232 yr So I just wanted to call out some of the developers who I've had incredible support from in some interactions. No agenda, I just think it is nice to call people out for the good as well as what is often seen here, the not so good because most people only post if they are having issues! 1. Stefan Brunner Yokes Man, it is incredible to know that if you invest in an expensive piece of hardware the support is going to be as good as the product. 2. Dave March (PF3 developer) Another one who will personally jump right into and issue and engage 1:1 to troubleshoot 3. @Kaiii3 from AIG. I mean this isn't even a paid product and the support is better than I get on some of my high end hardware! 4. MFG Milan Flight Gear Rudders. Another what appears to be very small shop that provides exceptional support 5. @virtuali While not everyone will always appreciate "how" he says things or how they come across he is all over support issues, forum threads and very active in the ongoing development and work around his products. You know if you ask for support you WILL get it even if it is to prove that it wasn't an issue with his product which in my opinion is still great support!!! I know there are so many others out there so it would be kind of nice to have an appreciation thread for those who really do have a passion for and support their work to a higher degree than expected... Quite the opposite to some of the others who go radio silent or worse in terms of support not just in terms of software but some on the hardware side as well. I don't want to name names but man have I had some HORRID support experiences as well or dealt with companies who just want to ship you the hardware and walk away or don't tell you that they don't provide the Software, you have to figure that part out yourself to make their hardware work! So let's name names... Who else has had a great support interaction with a company or developer. I know I am missing a ton I just may not have interacted with personally! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
December 3, 20232 yr I'd like to add Alex, developer of Little NavMap. He provides a superb freeware product with support that puts most of the payware shops I have used to shame.
