FlyTampa Athens : very nice animated people

Landed at LGAV and I really like the animated people in the terminal.

They are very nice yes. I do get a little annoyed that most developers seem to do animated people that clearly walk in circles if you watch them long enough. I understand looped animations but they could hide it a little better.

That might be true. But it looks nice and makes it as if the airport is alive.

I prefer this than complete decorated terminals from the inside as I always sit in the cockpit.

With GSX, you can add animated pax in the airports of your choice within a couple of seconds.

I know and that is good, but I never use spotplane or drone view so most of GSX features I will never use.

If you are referring to having to add them manually with the editor, you are not really required to do that: it's enough somebody else who like editing made a GSX profile for any airport which includes Airport Walkers path and shared it.

Many GSX profiles are now included with iniManager, so it's easy to find and install them.

I agree Gerard. They do look very realisitc. I'm like you, I would love to have just a handful of animated passengers that you can see through the windows while sat in the cockpit. It's not necessary to have more IMO. As for GSX passengers, I just hope Umberto updates his passengers at some point so they are more natural. :smile:

It's funny, I think this was one of the first sceneries with the detailed interior and animated passengers and some were up in arms about how it wasn't necessary and now I personally find it a let down if the terminal interior isn't modelled!  Every time I arrive at KMIA there is just something missing...

Flexible humans, who can go through every possible path, will always be less natural than those made for a specific place, because part of their movement is procedural, because they are flexible, meaning we can let them go everywhere.

Animations that made assuming a certain position are easier to do (just use libraries of motion captured gestures, it's easy), and they will look more "natural" but, you lose the flexibility to send those people everywhere, including climbing/descending stairs, turning over waypoints, etc.
