SWS PC-12 rudder function

Recommended Posts

Read some comments that the major issues with the PC-12 has been sorted and I decided to add it to my hanger.

I know that the aileron and rudder functions are interconnected and maybe I missed something but my rudders are not working at all (CH pro peddles). If have seen RW videos where the pilot steers the plane with the rudder peddles and you van see the yoke move due to the interconnect but the only way I can steer the plane or have any rudder function is to use the yoke. The toe brakes work but it does not seem to be animated.

Is this the normal behavior in the sim or how can I activate the normal rudder function from my hardware. All my calibration and setup of the rudder and brakes are done using standard MSFS assignments. It just does not feel right to steer the plane on the ground with the yoke.

Best Regards.

Aside from the interconnect, the rudders should work normally.  Make sure you do not have any assistance options on...I cannot really think of what else would cause that other than hardware binding issues.  Maybe try to reinstall the PC-12 if your rudders are working fine on other aircraft.

Maybe this will do the trick for you.

Thanks, this is gold dust.. don't know how I missed it!

I get what SWS were trying to do (realism) with the interconnect but every time I fly (or more accurately land) the plane, I can't helping thinking that it would probably feel better to land without the interconnect.

Maybe they could make it a realism option, when they get the EFB working.

You have to use rudder trim if you opt realism (i.e. interconnected rudder/aileron). It may be a bit frustrating initially but very satisfying at the end!
